    so let me get this straight… all my devices connected to my wifi my note 8 my ipad my mac pro my nintendo switch my tesla etc all could be affected

    The amount of stupidity in the comment section is huge. Be more analytical (1)the hack was performed by an android device. (2) the attack is on wifi connections. (3) the purpose of the attack is to monitor data traffic, potentially downloads malware on your devices that are connected to the network. stupid apple vs android fanboys get out of here, this is about WIFI routers.

    Don't have to update anything. Windows will update itself whenever it feels like it, usually in the middle of something important

    This makes me think about the long term future of technological advancements. What would happen once self driving cars or even biological implants become the norm? That would breed a new form of terrorism and cause all kinds of chaos throughout the world. Imagine how someone can hack into your personal life if the world embraces a future of biological implants. People will know everything about you and may even control what you do. Then there is the possibility that people can turn AI against us and cause, for example, self driving cars to collide and kill passengers.
