This likely means that they are no longer seeking to get new customers as their library has been shrinking for years, and not much new original content is being added. Their pricing seems like what a failing business does where they are currently losing customers and are unwilling to take action to get more, so they attempt to squeeze as much money from their remaining customers as possible on their way out.

Being that they were coming up with more original programming due to losing their content deal to Hulu, this isn't much of a surprise. It is still cheaper than cable, though.
