Single rear camera is a reason to shy away but it has one of the best DXO mark score of any phone. Yes makes sense to buy a dual camera iphone with a lower rating….

Glad none of these matter. Preorder placed. Pure Google, best camera, unlimited cloud storage, bluetooth headphones( or stereo front firing speakers), and super fast charging.

    This is really just nitpicking.
    5. Get a dock
    4. Dongle included
    3. C'mon, you shouldn't need to store your whole life on a phone.
    2. It's the best camera in any smartphone, period.
    1. It'll always be ahead of the competition thanks to day 1 updates.

I dont use headphones but I don't respect Google's choice of removing the jack. Also in my opinion wireless charging sucks anyway. It's much more convenient to plug it in as you can still use it while plugged in whereas unless wireless charging could charge it from afar (Im pretty sure it's impossible with current technology) wireless charging isn't very good. Also who goes through a minimum of 64gbs? Though I do admit extra storage may be nice if you do and I can't comment on the dual camera because I've never tried a phone with a dual camera

Wireless charging is not that big of a deal, half the wireless chargers on the market are slower than charging by cord to begin with.

My note 8 has a portrait mode not only from the rear camera, but the front too… so the pixel back camera is like my front camera….

This was literally the worst video I could ever imagine. Every reason not to buy had a full answer that contradicted it. CNET is definitely reaching on this one for some screen time.

These are all mostly petty reasons. Wireless charging isn't necessary at all nor should be a given. The storage options aren't needed, because you have unlimited storage with photos and videos. Despite there being only 1 rear facing camera, the camera on this phone is stellar and doesn't need 2. And the competition? You would get this if you preferred the others. And this is a good phone for a decent price compared to the others.

This is literally the dumbest video. Was this really necessary CNET?

You said “you’ll have to see” if the camera is that good , yet you’re suggesting us reasons to skip pixel? Lol skip this review

#5 wireless charging is dumb and not truly wireless anyway
    #4 Bluetooth is better
#3 128 GB is plenty especially with unlimited free cloud storage
#2 If software works, who cares
#1 competition isn't Google and doesn't offer pure android

This comment section and this video is so dumb. You missed out on 2 major downfalls of the pixel. The design, and the price. The design is horribly ugly and the buttons are in bad placement. The price is way to high, and you get way more stuff with an iPhone. The comment section is stupid because they are assuming that CNET hates the pixel even though they made a video on how they like the pixel, just like they did with this video… Even though I think the pixel is an awful phone…

This review is pretty bad. #1 No wireless charging but in the real world, quick-charge better. #2 wireless headphones are pretty cheap and the new standard. #3 there's Unlimited Storage with Google cloud…that's the whole point of a Google phone.

Google Pixel 3 is going to be a big one because it's going to have their own in house processor instead of relying on Qualcomm.
